About Me

I have a MA in Food Science and Microbiology. I lived, worked and finished school in Alaska.

I am the mother of 3 wonderful children that strives to find adventure in our backyard, down the street or where ever a good deal or coupon takes us.

I have an MA in Food Science and Microbiology. My love of science takes my kids and I everywhere: low tides at the beach, ponds and streams, forests and hiking trails, parks and playgrounds, museums to playing in mud puddles. Science is all around us, which is just so cool. I lived, worked and finished school in Alaska, where I started a small fly fishing company. I moved back down to “the Lower 48” to take a Food Micro job that took me to France and Germany. I have traveled all over Europe, playing soccer, working and when I was younger attending my mother’s scientific talks on Botany (the science of plants). Traveling is a passion that I just love. I have lived in Alaska, Oregon, a short stay in Asia and currently live, where I was born and raised, in the Monterey Bay Area in California.

I started couponing when I had 2 of my kids in diapers and the cost of diapers (paying full price without coupons) was greatly eating into my grocery budget. Two years ago, a  friend of mine told me she bought her brand name diapers for around $3.50 a pack. I almost dropped the phone when she told me. At that moment I jumped on the Coupon Train and took the express route to savings. I now save an average of 50% or more on my groceries and 75% or more (usually way more) on drug store items. I spend very little and get a lot each week. Couponing is what keeps my household going. I am constantly getting asked “Am I a Couponer” in stores and get flooded with couponing questions at check-out. Some people even ask if they can shop with me and “learn what I do”. I am happy to share what was shared with me…..how to save money. Thank you for taking the time to visit my site, come back soon.

Great to see someone finally doing this – Is there a way I can tell you about deals I run into? I just saw a BRAND NEW Pink Baby Trend infant Car Seat in the box at Goodwill in Marina for $69.00

WOW Smoking Deal!! You have brought up a good point, I should create an open forum for Deals readers find because Lord knows Im only scratching the surface of the deals to be found around The Bay and on-line. I find the deals but others help me with the computer part of Kidsncoupons. I am actually having a site update this week so I will put a “Deal Finding Forum” on the table and see if we can make that happen. For now leaving comments are the best way, especially for store deals (Safeway, CVS, Walmart etc…)

I am so glad you asked. Start with the one store you shop at frequently. Focus on that stores ads, coupon policy and rewards program if they have one. Starting getting the Sunday paper or ask friends/family that get a paper if you can have their coupon inserts if they dont use them. Also a good coupon Database is http://www.HotCouponWorld.com there u can look up where a coupon is found. I started couponing not knowing there was such a thing as a coupon database. That way if you find an item on sale you can look on the coupon database to see if there is a coupon and where it is found and if there is a printable one. I am thinking about giving a coupon class in the Bay Area soon, so check back if you are in the area to see time/date. I suggest not starting with Walgreens it is the hardest store to coupon, CVS is the easiest. Start with one or two coupon items in a transaction, make it easy. U do not have to get all the deals. It took me a good 3 mounths to really feel comfertable couponing. Did you read my how to coupon part 1 and 2? Please read and then ask as many questions as u want. u will not learn over nigt but once u learn its a great way to save. Thank you for visiting my site

We are impressed with the matchup lists you prepare for Lucky and would like to talk with you about being part of a select group of bloggers.

SavingsAngel has been helping families dramatically cut their grocery bills for six years. Along the way we have developed a powerful, time-saving system to help match sales to coupons and speed up the process of preparing grocery deal lists.

We have decided to share this system with select bloggers. You are invited to get in on the ground floor. As one of the first to use this Grocery Deal Data Entry System it will be FREE to you. It also preserves your print affiliate links and your associated revenue. Bloggers who have used it tell us “it saves time and is more intuitive than the systems we are currently using.”

If you are interested, please reply with some times in the next few days you would be available for a phone conversation. At that time we will discuss more details and answer your questions. Please include your phone number and/or your Skype name. Since this is a limited opportunity we will honor the replies in the order received.

Thanks. We look forward to speaking with you.

I absolutely love your blog and find most of your post’s to be what precisely I’m looking for.
Would you offer guest writers to write content in your case?
I wouldn’t mind publishing a post or elaborating on some of the subjects you write with regards to here. Again, awesome website!
