Family and Kid’s Events happening around the Monterey Bay Area 10/19-10/21:

Friday October 19

  • Outrageous Outgrowns– San Jose
    Bay Area’s Largest resale event for babies and kids with more than 40,000 items nicely organized at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds Pavilion Hall. Admission is FREE. 9am-5pm

Saturday October 20

  • 42nd Annual Santa Cruz Band Review- Santa Cruz Boardwalk
    55 high school and jr. high marching bands parade from Santa Cruz High School to the Boardwalk. Watch them play on Beach Street. 9am-2pm
  • Harvest Festival and Draft Horse Day- Just outside Santa Cruz, North Hwy 1
    Choose a pumpking from the patch and decorate it, take a draft horse wagon ride, listen to live bluegrass and country bands, make corn husk dolls and much more. Buy food there or pack a lunch. Admission is FREE, Parking is $10 at Wilder Ranch State Park.
  • Walk with Me Monterey
    Join Easter Seals at Coast Guard Pier in Monterey for a 1.25 mile Family Fun Walk, 5K & 10K Fun Runs. Bring everyone for   a fun family-friendly walk and run. Together, hope can be put within reach for people with disabilities and the families who love them. Registration opens at   7:30 a.m. Timed 5k & 10K training runs start at 8:30 a.m. and Walk With Me begins at 8:45 a.m.
  • Get Involved: A Volunteer Expo- Marina
    10am-2pm. Fun, food, prizes and inspiration await at REI Marina. Dozens of volunteer conservation and stewardship nonprofit groups will be showcasing volunteer opportunities that are great for families and people of all ages.

Sunday October 21

  • Meet the Monarchs- Santa Cruz
    Tours of the Monarch Grove begin Sunday 10/21 and will be ongoing Sat & Sun at 11 am & 2pm. Join a naturalist and tour the butterflies at the state designated monarch butterfly preserve at Natural Bridges State Beach at the end of West Cliff Dr.
  • Seaside Crafts- Santa Cruz
    1-3pm at the Seymour Center
