FREE Visine and How to Coupon Tutorial- CVS

Here’s a great coupon stack for those lucky enough to receive the CVS Visine coupon from the coupon machine this week at CVS. This is also a great example of “rolling” Extra Bucks (EB) and “stacking” coupons for those of you just learning how to coupon.

  • “Rolling” Extra Bucks: using EB from a past transaction in a deal that uses EB and then receiving more EB at the end of the transaction, its like recycling, it is how I coupon and keep my OOP (out of pocket expense very low)
  • “Stacking” coupons: using a manufacture AND store coupons together in SAME transaction for the SAME product.

Visine AC Eye Drops, 1 oz $5.49, sale price through 9/1
Buy 1, Receive $2.00 Extra Bucks, Limit 1
Use: $2.00/1 Visine (1/2 fl oz or larger) OR (1) Visine Soothing Wipes product, excludes travel/trial size, limit 1 coupon per person, no more than 4 coupons of any kind for the same product in the same transaction 7/29 RP Insert (exp 10/1)
Or Use: $1.00/1 – Visine, .5 oz or Larger or Visine Soothing Wipes Product – (smartsource.com)
Or Use: $1.00/1 – Visine Product, 1/2 FL OZ or Larger, or Visine Soothing Wipes, Excludes Trial Sizes – (smartsource.com)
And Use: $1.50/1 Visine AC Eye Drops, CVS Coupon Machine Week of 8/26
Pay $1.99, Receive $2.00 Extra Bucks
The Deal: FREE

If I were to do this deal……. I would use $2 of my Extra Bucks from last week. After my coupons the OOP is still $1.99, so I would had the cashier $2 in Extra Bucks, making this item FREE (plus CA state tax). On the receipt there will be $2 in Extra Bucks, so I would have “rolled” or “recycled” my Extra Bucks. I will then save that $2 EB for another deal. I usually only do deals that I can roll my Extra Bucks on so I always have some for the next deal around the corner. I have been couponing long enough to have a good stash of items. I very rarely have to buy something because I am out or running low. I just go to my stash and pull out more toothpaste, soap etc and coupon it when it is FREE or very very inexpensive.
